Accepted: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG, HEIC · Max 50.0 MB per file

Applies to JPG and WebP only.
JPG has no transparency; this color fills those areas.

    How to use

    1. Add one or more images. Almost any format your browser can display is accepted, plus HEIC from iPhones.
    2. Choose the target format: JPG for photos, PNG for graphics with transparency, WebP for the smallest files on the web.
    3. For JPG or WebP, set the quality. For JPG, pick a background color to replace transparent areas.
    4. Click "Convert images" and download the results.

    Examples

    WebP to JPG for compatibility

Some older software and photo printers cannot open WebP. Convert downloaded WebP images to JPG so they work everywhere.

    PNG to WebP for websites

WebP is typically 25–35% smaller than PNG at the same visual quality and is supported by all modern browsers.

    SVG or GIF to PNG

Turn a vector logo or an animated GIF frame into a flat PNG for use in documents and presentations.

    Frequently asked questions

Which formats can I convert from?

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG, AVIF (if your browser supports it) and HEIC/HEIF. Output can be JPG, PNG or WebP.

Will an animated GIF stay animated?

No. Only the first frame is converted. Animated output formats are not supported by this tool.

    What happens to transparent backgrounds?

PNG and WebP keep transparency. JPG cannot, so transparent pixels are filled with the background color you choose (white by default).

    Is the conversion lossless?

Converting to PNG is lossless. JPG and WebP are lossy; at 90% quality the difference is invisible for most photos. Metadata such as EXIF is removed.

    Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Files are never sent to a server.
