Accepted: HEIC, HEIF · Max 50.0 MB per file

JPG only. 90% keeps photos looking identical.

The HEIC decoder (about 1 MB) loads the first time you convert.

    How to use

    1. Drag your .heic or .heif files into the box, or click to choose them (up to 30 at once).
    2. Choose JPG for the smallest, most compatible files, or PNG if you need lossless output.
    3. Adjust the quality if you like — 90% is visually identical to the original.
    4. Click "Convert HEIC". The first run loads the decoder (about 1 MB); later files convert immediately.
    5. Download each photo or all of them as a ZIP.

    Examples

    Transferring iPhone photos to Windows

Photos copied from an iPhone show up as HEIC and will not open in older Windows Photos or Paint. Convert them to JPG first.

    Uploading to websites and forms

Many job portals, marketplaces and government sites only accept JPG or PNG. Convert HEIC before uploading.

    Sharing with Android users

Convert to JPG so recipients on any device can view the photos without extra apps.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is a HEIC file?

HEIC is the HEIF-based photo format iPhones have used by default since iOS 11. It stores photos at about half the size of JPG but is not supported by many programs and websites.

Do I lose quality converting HEIC to JPG?

JPG is lossy, but at 90% quality the difference is invisible. Choose PNG for a lossless result at the cost of larger files.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. The HEIC decoder runs inside your browser. Your photos stay on your device.

Why did a Live Photo or burst only produce one image?

HEIC containers can hold several images. This tool exports the primary (first) image of each file.

Can I stop my iPhone from taking HEIC photos?

Yes. Go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose "Most Compatible" to shoot JPG directly. Existing photos still need converting.
