    Examples

    Send only the relevant pages

Extract pages 4-6 of a 40-page contract to share just the section a colleague needs.

    Separate scanned receipts

A scanner produced one PDF with 20 receipts; split every page into its own file for expense claims.

    Chapter files from a book

Split a manual every 10 pages to keep each chapter under an email attachment limit.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I write page ranges?

Separate items with commas. "3" is a single page, "2-5" is pages 2 to 5, "7-" means page 7 to the end. Pages are output in the order you list them, so "5, 1" puts page 5 first.

Does splitting change the page quality?

No. Pages are copied without re-rendering, so text remains searchable and images keep their original resolution.

    Can I split a password-protected PDF?

No. Remove the password first with the software that created the file, then split it here.

    Where does the output go?

One output file downloads directly. Multiple files are offered individually and as a ZIP archive, created in your browser.

    Is my document uploaded?

No. Splitting runs locally with the pdf-lib library. Nothing leaves your device.
